The story
Set among the lush greenery of Dempsey Hill, Min Jiang at Dempsey brings the celebrated name of Goodwood Park Hotel’s award-winning Chinese restaurant to a new setting. Housed in a 6,000-square-foot black-and-white colonial bungalow, the restaurant offers a refined yet relaxed atmosphere across its main dining hall, a cosy bar, four private dining rooms, and a timber-decked alfresco area that opens onto the tropical grounds.
The interior, designed by architect Ernesto Bedmar, blends oriental charm with clean, modern lines. Gold, yellow and green accents, sleek marble surfaces, and chinoiserie details create a space that feels both elegant and welcoming. With seating for 170 guests, it also serves as a distinctive venue for weddings and private events.
The kitchen focuses on contemporary Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine. House specialities include the authentic Beijing Duck, prepared according to an ancient Chinese recipe, alongside exquisitely crafted dim sum and roast meats. The menu reflects the same commitment to quality that earned Min Jiang its place in the Michelin Guide Singapore and the Tatler Best Singapore Guide.
