The story
Da Andrea brings elevated Italian cuisine to Bratislava, guided by owner and head chef Andrea Ena. She runs the Italian kitchen with a focus on classic techniques adapted for modern palates. Her ambition to present Italian cooking on a higher tier aligns with the restaurant’s guiding motto of pursuing bold goals rather than playing it safe. This dedication recently secured a score of fourteen from Gault&Millau for 2026.
Guests frequently return for the terrine di vitello e coniglio, which layers rabbit and veal pâté with crumbled Asiago cheese and crushed pistachios. The meat-filled tortelloni di carne pairs fresh pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, a smooth parmesan cream, and a sharp arugula pesto. For those visiting the sister location Sapori Italiani, the pizza program translates directly into Da Andrea’s regular rotation. Evenings typically finish with the tiramisu della casa, assembled and served directly at the table to preserve its texture.
The dining rooms sit inside a preserved eighties building surrounded by the greenery of Horský Park. Two main halls feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls and towering crystal chandeliers that reflect the surrounding trees. A separate wine cellar and quiet smoking lounge provide quieter alternatives for guests seeking conversation. Large windows frame the park views throughout the day, while an outdoor terrace extends the seating area during warmer months.
