The story
The restaurant, awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking, makes the well-being of guests its center of attention. The kitchen team creates a place where top-quality food brings people together, and each dish is designed to illustrate the Alps, the efforts of local farmers, their quality produce, and the traditions passed down through generations.
Guests can choose from a 3, 4, or 5-course tasting menu (starting at 47 €), building their own selection from the seasonal offerings, or leaving the choice entirely to the Majer'ca team. The seasonal menu might include cold starters like yellow beets with smoked cream and apricot ponzu, or beef slices with salted egg yolk, trout caviar, and spruce. Warm starters feature dishes such as salsify with sheep's cheese, hazelnuts, and yeast. Main courses range from sunflower seed risotto with Brussels sprouts and aged cheese to poached trout with cabbage, pumpkin seeds, and seaweed, or duck with stale bread, foie gras, celeriac, and apple.
Head sommelier Sebastjan Majcen and sommelier Sven Grager are on hand to advise on pairings from a wine store offering over 65 labels. The restaurant is open for dinner from 17:30 to 21:30, and also serves breakfast for both hotel guests and non-guests from 08:00 to 10:00. Dogs are welcome too.
