The story
Niroumianguan calls itself “The Master of Beef Noodles,” and the bowl lives up to the title. The deep broth is simmered for forty-eight hours, resulting in a clean, concentrated flavor. The noodles are chewy, the meat tender. It is a deceptively simple dish, precise and satisfying.
The menu is compact. The Beef Noodle (₩12,000) and Beef Noodle Special (₩15,000) are the anchors. Alongside, dumplings and pickled cucumber round out the meal. In the evening, specials appear—crispy fried pork, yuxiang eggplant, mapo tofu—each priced under ₩20,000.
The team behind Niroumianguan visited seventy-eight specialty beef noodle restaurants across six cities—Seoul, Qingdao, Taipei, Lanzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing—to understand the craft. A master of “private-taste beef noodles” shared his broth-making technique. That dedication to tradition, combined with careful execution, earned the restaurant a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
The main branch sits at 75-2 Cheonggyecheon-ro, Jongno District, near the Cheonggyecheon stream and popular sights like Gwanghwamun and Insa-dong. Inside, the atmosphere is clean, modern, and cozy. Counter dining is available, along with outdoor seating. International guests are welcomed with an English menu and major foreign credit cards are accepted. Self-service rice is on offer. It is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, with last orders at 9:00 PM.
For anyone seeking a quietly masterful bowl of beef noodles in Seoul, Niroumianguan delivers warmth, depth, and rest—no more, no less.
