The story
On the southwest coast of Menorca, the restaurant at Torralbenc occupies the estate’s old harvest building. The interior is warm and intimate, but the real draw is the terrace: olive trees, vineyards, and the sea in the distance. It is a serene setting where the food matches the landscape.
Advised by Michelin-starred chef Gorka Txapartegi, the kitchen takes an honest, refined approach to Mediterranean cuisine. Each dish is built slowly, with deep respect for Menorcan tradition. Vegetables, eggs, spices, oil, and wine come from the estate itself, cooked over embers with patience. The menu moves through savoury starters, meat and fish, rice dishes, and handmade desserts.
For a deeper experience, Torralbenc offers a six-course tasting menu served at sunset under the branches, by candlelight among the gardens. There is also a separate cave dining space within the finca, a secluded table in a singular natural setting, where the meal is built around local, seasonal product.
The recognition from the Michelin guide underlines the consistency and clarity of the cooking here. It is cooking that lets the island speak—from the garden to the grill to the plate.
