The story
Leña Marbella sits inside the Puente Romano Resort, a space that was once home to Dani García’s three-Michelin-starred restaurant. After reaching that peak, García chose to start again. He wanted a freer kitchen, one that honoured the same respect for ingredients but spoke in a more direct, vibrant language. This is the spirit behind Leña: a steakhouse that revolves around wood fire and grill, but refuses to be limited by labels.
The restaurant was named the world’s most beautiful restaurant in 2021 by the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards, and the setting lives up to that – sophisticated yet lively, with warm lighting and an open, convivial energy. A spectacular bar sits alongside the main dining room, serving cocktails designed to complement the smoke and char of the kitchen.
Leña’s cooking is built on fire. The menu centres on exceptional cuts of meat, prepared over the embers with precision. But the wood-fired technique extends beyond beef: vegetables, seafood and even desserts carry that subtle smokiness. García’s approach is contemporary yet grounded – innovation meets tradition, with flavour always at the core. The wine list is carefully curated to match the intensity of the grill, and the dessert selection provides a refined, sweet finish to the meal.
Leña Marbella holds a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026, a recognition that reflects the consistency and ambition of this grill-focused kitchen. It is the first outpost of what has since become a small international group, but Marbella remains the original – the place where the fire was first lit.
The restaurant offers versatile spaces for private dining, from an intimate reservado for small groups to full exclusivity for up to 110 guests. Whether for a corporate event or a personal celebration, the team creates customised menus that let the wood-fired cooking take centre stage.
Leña Marbella is open for lunch and dinner every day, with the kitchen serving from 13:00 to 16:30 and again from 19:00 to midnight. The bar stays open until 02:00. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended – especially for the coveted outdoor terrace.
