The story

Ochando, Tocina: A Michelin-Starred Taste of the Guadalquivir Valley

LA COCINA DE LA VEGA DEL GUADALQUIVIR

Ochando is a small, focused gastronomic space in Los Rosales, a village in the municipality of Tocina, about thirty minutes from Seville. Here, chef Juan Carlos prepares a contemporary cuisine that puts seasonal produce first. The menu changes constantly, and a tasting menu offers a way to sample a broad sweep of his cooking.

Juan Carlos is a young Sevillian chef who trained in some of Spain's most notable kitchens—Hacienda Benazuza, El Campero, Bardal, and Casa Marcial—before returning to his home town. There, with Elena by his side, he launched the project that would earn Ochando a Michelin star. The award recognises the quality of his cooking and the dedication he brings to those who make the trip.

The restaurant offers two tasting menus. The Gran Menú Ochando is priced at 85€ per person and served to the whole table; the shorter Menú Ochando is 68€ per person, also served to the table. A carefully curated wine list accompanies both.

Ochando’s contemporary cuisine is rooted in the ingredients of the Vega del Guadalquivir, the fertile plain that surrounds Seville. It is a place that rewards the journey.
