Every primary ingredient is wild, handpicked from healthy Scandinavian waters with a single-minded focus on flavour and quality. This is seafood cuisine at its most uncompromising.

The dining room at Södra Blasieholmshamnen 8 offers two tasting experiences. The full Avsmakningsmeny is available every open day, while the shorter Meny selektion is served for dinner Wednesday through Thursday and Friday lunch. Both change with the seasons and the catch.

Behind the stove is a team led by one of Sweden’s most celebrated chefs. Dahlgren’s reputation for precision and deep respect for raw materials is the foundation of every plate. The restaurant’s Michelin star, awarded for high-quality cooking, reflects a kitchen that never coasts on the abundance of Nordic waters but instead treats each ingredient with the care it deserves.

A wine cellar built for the table

Seafood Gastro houses one of Sweden’s most comprehensive wine cellars, with some 2,500 labels. The emphasis is on Europe’s classic regions, sourced from small, quality-driven growers with a clear sustainable ethos. Non-alcoholic options are made from scratch with equal pride. Guests are encouraged to speak directly with the sommelier for guidance.

Private dining and catering

For those seeking a more personal experience, two private dining rooms sit adjacent to the main restaurant. One seats ten, the other fourteen, and they can be combined for groups of up to twenty-four. Menus are tailored in close consultation, whether drawn from seasonal set options or built entirely from scratch with the team. The same meticulous sourcing and technique extend to off-site catering, from intimate dinners to larger celebrations.

Seafood Gastro is open for dinner Wednesday through Saturday and for lunch on Friday. Reservations for the coming months are released in advance.
