The story
La Tour brings Swedish fine dining to Stockholm through a rigorous approach to power dining. Pontus Frithiof and Mario E. Moroni designed the kitchen around unbroken momentum and exacting standards. The White Guide recently awarded the venue its Masters level rating, noting how the team balances rich proteins like lobster and chicken liver with precise vegetable preparations. Guests return to see how the kitchen refines each service.
The menu shifts with seasonal availability while maintaining a steady focus on texture and temperature control. Truffle appears on several vegetarian plates alongside smoked spitz cabbage and delicate tarts. Tartare sits beside richer shellfish courses, creating a deliberate contrast between earthy depth and bright brine. Every refinement of Swedish gastronomy here relies on clearly sourced components rather than heavy sauces.
Large windows frame a direct view across Riddarfjärden, guiding the layout of the dining room. Architects Whyte Lilja shaped the space to highlight existing period features while adding contemporary lines. The team selected custom scents from Byredo and woven linen from Linneverket to soften the acoustics. Brass accents from Skultuna and framed photographs by Patrik Leinhart complete the interior narrative.
