The story
In the heart of Lenzburg’s old town, Rosmarin offers two distinct dining experiences. The heart of the restaurant is the counter around the open kitchen, where twelve guests watch each dish take shape. For larger parties, a historic vaulted cellar provides space for up to forty people at long tables with comfortable armchairs. Whether you sit at the counter or in the cellar, the focus is the same: a surprise menu of modern cuisine, prepared with precision and creativity.
Rosmarin serves a five- to seven-course surprise menu from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 18:30. A vegetarian or vegan version is available on request. Soft drinks, coffee, and espresso are included in the price. For those who wish, a wine pairing can be ordered – five to seven wines chosen to complement the meal. The restaurant’s wine list is arranged by character and taste rather than origin, encouraging guests to explore and find their own pairings.
Chef Philipp Audolensky’s work has earned Rosmarin a Michelin star in 2026, a mark of exceptional creativity and skill. The same year, GastroAargau awarded him the “Guet-Gmacht-Priis” for his achievements. A short documentary film offers a glimpse into the kitchen’s daily rhythm. The team also prepares small chocolate truffles shaped like quail eggs, called LeckerEier, available to take home or send as a gift.
From the intimate counter to the carefully composed menus, Rosmarin is a place where modern cuisine is served with warmth and attention to detail.
