The story
Little Tree Food opened in 2017 with a simple mission: to make plant-based eating accessible and delicious for everyone. The name reflects the founders’ belief that a mindful, healthful approach to food—like a small tree—can grow naturally in each person’s life. At the Da'an Road location, that philosophy takes shape in a relaxed, air-conditioned space where vegetables and fruits take center stage.
The kitchen works with fresh, seasonal ingredients, sourcing from local farms when possible. Dishes are designed to surprise: pizza, cake, ice cream, even spicy hot pot—all without meat. The team’s goal is to create food so satisfying that guests might not even notice they’re eating a plant-based meal. This approach has won over both committed vegetarians and curious omnivores.
Little Tree Food has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good value and good cooking, and has also been awarded a Michelin Green Star since 2022 for its commitment to sustainable gastronomy. The restaurant is part of the “Twice a Week” alliance, encouraging people to incorporate two plant-based meals into their weekly routine—a gentle shift that can reduce carbon emissions and support animal welfare, without demanding a full dietary overhaul.
While the menu changes with the seasons, standout offerings include collaborations like the “Truffle Mushroom Forest Pizza” made with sourdough focaccia, and a partnership with China Airlines that brings Little Tree Food’s dishes to long-haul flights. For dessert, the restaurant offers a range of cakes—both with dairy and vegan options—such as caramel sea salt chiffon, hojicha chestnut chiffon, and a rich nama chocolate cake. Granola gift boxes and pudding (including black sugar and Thai milk tea flavors) round out the take-home selection.
Little Tree Food on Da'an Road is a place where plant-based eating feels effortless and enjoyable—proof that good food and good values can go hand in hand.
