The story
Ōre offers an exceptionally personal dining experience in Bangkok. With just six seats at a chef’s counter, guests watch as each dish is prepared with precision and artistry. The restaurant’s atmosphere is one of focused attention, where the energy behind the flames becomes part of the meal. The cuisine is a refined interpretation of Greek tradition, inspired by the homeland of chef Dimitrios. This is not a typical Greek restaurant in Bangkok—it is a deeply personal expression of heritage, served in an intimate, modern setting.
Ōre is currently closed for renovation. Until July 19, the team can be found at a pop-up at Table 1749 in Bangkok’s Sathon district. During this time, they present a menu rooted in tradition, offering a refined take on Greek cuisine. The pop-up continues the same philosophy: a focused, ingredient-driven approach that pays homage to the chef’s roots. This temporary location allows new and returning guests to experience the essence of Ōre while the permanent space is refreshed.
The restaurant has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a testament to its singular vision and execution. While the dining room is compact, the experience is anything but small. Every detail—from the open kitchen to the carefully sourced ingredients—reflects a dedication to craft. Ōre is a place where the food tells a story, and the intimacy of the setting makes that story feel personal. It is a rare and worthwhile stop for anyone seeking authentic, thoughtfully prepared Greek cuisine in Bangkok.
