The story
In the heart of Bangkok’s Thonglor district, R-HAAN delivers a complete fine-dining experience rooted in the philosophy of “Thai Culinary Wisdom.” The restaurant, which has earned two Michelin stars for its excellent cooking, is the vision of co-founders Khun Piti Bhirombhakdi and Chef Chumpol Jangprai. They are dedicated to showcasing the depth and refinement of Thai cuisine, from time-honored traditional recipes to the subtleties of royal Thai dishes.
The menu at R-HAAN is built around the concept of the Samrub—a seasonal set menu that changes with the Thai calendar. There are three distinct offerings: The Summer Samrub, The Rainy Samrub, and The Winter Samrub. Chef Chumpol carefully selects premium Thai ingredients and indigenous herbs at their peak, crafting dishes that engage all five senses and reveal the harmony of the eight dimensions of taste. The current winter menu, “Flavours of Delight,” features regional ingredients like winter fish, river prawns, and new-season jasmine rice, thoughtfully paired with exceptional global produce.
Every detail at R-HAAN reinforces this narrative. The food is presented on hand-painted ceramic tableware created by master artisans, inspired by the beauty of royal palaces. Each dish is a work of art that conveys the legacy of Thai cuisine through flavor, story, and exquisite detail. This commitment to authenticity and artistry is what makes R-HAAN a benchmark for Thai contemporary fine dining in Bangkok.
