The story
On the ninth floor of Swissôtel Büyük Efes, Scappi’s private terrace looks out over the iconic Kordon waterfront. This is the setting for a restaurant that brings traditional Italian flavors into a refined, modern experience. The view alone sets it apart, but the kitchen and the atmosphere keep guests returning.
The restaurant takes its name from Bartolomeo Scappi, the Renaissance chef who codified Italian gastronomy. Here, that legacy is interpreted through a menu built on fresh, seasonal ingredients prepared daily. The cuisine is Italian with a Mediterranean sensibility—clean, ingredient-driven, and presented without unnecessary fuss. The kitchen lets the produce speak, supported by a carefully curated selection of local and imported wines and the restaurant’s signature cocktails.
Scappi has earned a place on the Michelin Guide Recommended list for 2025 and 2026, and has been recognized by the Gault & Millau Türkiye Guide in 2024, 2025, and 2026. These accolades reflect the consistency and ambition of the kitchen. Inside, art-filled interiors and a Mediterranean-inspired ambiance create a space that feels both elegant and welcoming. On selected evenings, live jazz or DJ performances add a soundtrack to the evening, blending music with fine dining seamlessly.
Open daily from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Scappi is designed for dinner and late evenings. The combination of a high-gusto menu, terrace views, and curated music makes it a destination for those who appreciate Italian cuisine in a setting that is both sophisticated and relaxed. Every plate tells a story, and the restaurant invites you to be part of it.
