The story
The Güner family has been cultivating the land of Menderes since 1942, and today their third generation carries the tradition forward. At İsabey Bağevi, the restaurant sits within the family’s Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, surrounded by the fertile plains of İzmir. The setting is intimate: meals are served under the shade of a 350-year-old plane tree, with the vines stretching out in every direction.
The kitchen draws inspiration from the Aegean culinary heritage. Dishes are designed in close dialogue with the estate’s award-winning wines, and almost everything is cooked over an open wood fire. The menu changes with the seasons, rooted in what the land provides – farm-to-table in the truest sense. The result is a Mediterranean experience that feels both grounded and refined.
The restaurant’s commitment to terroir and craftsmanship has earned it a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. It is a quiet acknowledgment of what the Güner family has built: a place where wine, food, and nature come together with understated grace. Whether you come for lunch beneath the plane tree or an evening paired with the estate’s Sauvignon Blanc, İsabey Bağevi offers a genuine taste of the Aegean.
