The restaurant’s story, told in its own words, is one of escape: “You’re looking for something new, something you’ve never experienced before.” Privacy screens and half-hidden banquettes create an atmosphere where others sweep past in the shadows, making you double take. It is a place designed for lingering, whether at the polished bar or on the secluded terrace.
XU’s cuisine is rooted in Cantonese tradition, with additional Southeast Asian flavours woven throughout. All dishes are served as sharing plates, because the restaurant believes dining is an intimate experience. Standouts include the Cherry Wood Peking Duck, Szechuan Pepper Black Cod, and a selection of Dim Sum. Desserts take a Western turn, balancing the meal with something familiar yet refined. An extensive beverage menu draws on Chinese pop culture, with signature creations like the Pop Corn Highball, Year of the Dragon, and Fortune Teller.

Beyond the à la carte, guests can experience curated menus such as the Taste of XU (available nightly from 6pm, from AED 230 per person) or a Business Lunch offering one starter and one main for AED 85. XU spans 1,300 square metres across the second floor of the hotel, seating up to 250 guests.
