The story
Andria describes itself as “an original selection of modern European small plates at this delightful modern bistro” – and the Michelin Bib Gourmand award for 2026 confirms that it delivers good quality, good value cooking. The restaurant sits on Lower Street in Dartmouth, Devon, with a relaxed, confident atmosphere that makes it feel like a local fixture.
Upstairs, the Chef’s Table is a purpose-built kitchen dining room. Guests gather around a communal table while Head Chef Luca Berardino prepares dishes directly in front of them in a bespoke open kitchen. The setup includes a wood fired BBQ and an exclusive wine menu, with one-off dishes that change regularly. Luca talks through the evening, sharing the inspiration and stories behind each course. The Chef’s Table is open for dinner on Wednesdays and for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday, with a multi-course tasting menu. Private dining for up to ten is also available.
The a la carte menu is available at lunch and dinner, while a £35 set tasting menu runs from Monday to Friday, 12–3 pm. Sunday lunch is served from September to the end of June, 12–4 pm. Menus change according to seasonality and availability, reflecting the modern European cuisine that Andria does so well. Dogs are welcome with notice in the back area for lunch sittings only.
With its straightforward cooking, warm service, and the intimacy of the Chef’s Table, Andria offers a genuinely personal dining experience in the heart of Dartmouth.
