The story
Fogo de Chão began in the mountainous countryside of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where the founding brothers grew up on a traditional farm learning the art of churrasco. That heritage of slow-fire grilling over open flames defines the experience in Brea today. Every cut of meat is expertly seasoned and cooked to order, then carved tableside by gaucho chefs.
The restaurant offers more than just steak. Alongside the continuous service of fire-roasted meats—from Picanha to Lamb Chops—the Market Table provides a fresh, vibrant spread of seasonal vegetables, salads, and soups. Bar Fogo expands the options with Brazilian-inspired small plates and handcrafted cocktails, including the classic Caipirinha.
The dining room and outdoor seating welcome large groups and private events, with catering and takeaway available. A recent limited-time Fogo Four Course menu showcases signature cuts, the Market Table, authentic sides, and a decadent dessert.
The Brea location received the 2024 Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, reflecting a carefully curated wine program that complements the churrasco experience. The Founders Tribute Wine Collection, with selections from Mendoza, Chile, and California, pairs directly with specific cuts—like the Jorjão Malbec alongside Picanha or the O’Leão Red Blend with Fraldinha.
Since 1979, Fogo de Chão has kept the flames of churrasco burning, and the Brea outpost continues that tradition with the same commitment to quality and hospitality.
