The story
Named for the Italian word “to love,” Amare invites guests to a casual upscale dining experience rooted in the tastes and cultures of the Mediterranean region. Located within the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve in Celebration, Florida, the restaurant focuses on fresh, premium ingredients that define the cuisine: a wide variety of seafood, citrus, olive oils, pasta, and pitas. The menu changes throughout the day, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner service.
Amare’s extensive Mediterranean-based wine list earned the restaurant a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2023. The selection features several specialized wine flights that highlight wines from across the region, allowing guests to explore pairings that complement the bright, herbaceous dishes.
The kitchen is led by Chef Scott West, a Culinary Institute of America graduate whose career has taken him from line cook to private chef on a 110-foot yacht. He was part of the team behind Oak Hill Café & Farm in Greenville, South Carolina, which earned a James Beard Award nomination for Best New Restaurant, Southeast, in 2018. Now Sr. Sous Chef at the Swan Reserve, he oversees Amare alongside several other dining outlets. His approach brings a refined yet approachable touch to the Mediterranean menu.
Amare is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The atmosphere is sophisticated but welcoming—guests are asked to dress in neat, clean attire that respects the upscale aesthetic. Families will appreciate the two hours of complimentary childcare at Camp Dolphin for children ages 5–12 when dining at the restaurant. Reservations are recommended.
