The story
Barsotti’s, formerly Carbone's, is a neighborhood Italian-American restaurant located in the Big D, Texas. It is both old and new, established and evolved. The food and the story derive from Italian immigrants who came from Southern Italy to pursue the American Dream.
The restaurant is a project by Julian Barsotti, who also runs Fachini, Nonna, Odelay, and Goodbye Horses in Dallas. The space on Oak Lawn Avenue—4208, to be precise—has been a fixture in the city, and Barsotti’s carries that legacy forward. The kitchen serves Italian cuisine rooted in tradition, with a menu that balances hearty classics and refined touches.
Walk-in tables are set aside every night, though reservations are recommended. The dining room offers counter seating and private party options, and the atmosphere is welcoming without pretense. Lunch and dinner are served daily, with a happy hour from 4 to 6 pm Monday through Thursday.
