The story
Mister Charles occupies the landmarked former Highland Park Soda Fountain Building on Knox Street in Dallas. Duro Hospitality’s most ambitious project to date, the space is defined by soaring 38-foot ceilings and opulent, over-the-top design. The result is a bar and restaurant that feels both grand and welcoming — a place for dinner, dessert, or simply an escape.
The kitchen takes irreverent, globally inspired plays on French and Italian cuisine. Think indulgent classics reimagined: Chicken Nugget paired with Ricotta Ranch and Caviar, or Surf & Turf accented with the season’s premier black truffles. A recent Easter brunch featured Brioche French Toast with Bananas Foster and Crab Eggs Benedict with Uni Hollandaise. Even dessert leans luxe, with offerings like Salted Honey Gelato with Toasted Hazelnut and Alba White Truffle. The cocktail program focuses on perfected classic drinks, backed by an exceptional wine list.
Mister Charles has been recognized by the Michelin Guide for consecutive years, earning a Recommended distinction in 2026. The restaurant describes itself as a luxury dining destination blending French and Italian culinary traditions — a fitting description for a place that has quickly become a standout among Knox/Henderson restaurants in Dallas.
