The story
In the heart of historic downtown Flagstaff, Atria has become a destination for modern American fare built on Northern Arizona's farm-fresh ingredients. Chef and partner Rochelle Daniel leads the kitchen, crafting a seasonal menu that moves from house-made pastas and fresh seafood to hearty steaks, all anchored by locally-grown produce.
Daniel, a Phoenix native, first fell for the region while executive chef at L'Auberge de Sedona. Her credentials are deep: a James Beard Award Semifinalist for both Emerging Chef (2022) and Best Chef: Southwest (2026), she also took home the 2023 Top Chef Foodist award and was inducted into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame in 2017. At Atria, her cooking is straightforward and precise—"handcrafted with love," as she puts it, letting the ingredients speak.
The restaurant's wine program has earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, and the bar turns out craft cocktails that match the kitchen's ambition. Guests can choose from a la carte dinner options, a prix fixe menu, or a tasting menu (available with 24-hour notice). The atmosphere is warm and airy, welcoming diners Tuesday through Saturday.
For those wanting a deeper dive, Atria also offers special events and catering, and Daniel occasionally hosts collaborative omakase dinners—most recently with Uchi Scottsdale—that showcase her range beyond modern American cuisine.
