The story
At Disney Springs in Kissimmee, Morimoto Asia brings the vision of Japanese Master Chef Masaharu Morimoto to life. Known worldwide as the star of Iron Chef, Morimoto has created a pan-Asian destination that the Michelin Guide has recognized, earning a Recommended distinction. This is not a typical theme-park restaurant; it is a serious culinary outpost that delivers the chef’s singular interpretations of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean dishes.
The restaurant itself is a two-story, 36-foot-tall architectural statement. A glass-encased kitchen offers guests a front-row seat to the culinary action—what the team calls “food theater.” The space includes multiple lounges, private dining rooms, and a dedicated second-level sushi bar and lounge with its own entrance.
The menu is vast, rooted in tradition yet unmistakably Morimoto. Start with the dim sum, including pork dumplings and shumai, or the blistered shishito peppers with wasabi crème fraîche. The Morimoto Peking Duck is a centerpiece, carved tableside and served with your choice of steamed flour tortillas, bao buns, or lettuce cups. For seafood, the "Ochazuke" miso Chilean sea bass arrives in a rich duck broth. The sushi program is equally serious, sourcing special fish from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market and around the world, with options ranging from O-toro bluefin tuna to Hokkaido red sea urchin.
For a more casual experience, the adjacent Morimoto Asia Street Food counter serves the chef’s iconic ramen, rice bowls, and dim sum to-go. Whether seated in the grand dining room or grabbing a bowl of Spicy Chashu Ramen on the patio, this is a place where the skill of a master chef meets the energy of a world-class entertainment district.
