The story
Mott 32 has arrived on the Las Vegas Strip, bringing with it a reputation as one of the most awarded Chinese restaurant brands in the world. Located within The Venetian Resort, this outpost offers the same refined, region-spanning menu that has earned the group accolades from Hong Kong to Dubai. It is a place where the traditions of Canton, Shanghai, and Beijing are presented with a level of precision and luxury that has made Mott 32 a global destination.
The restaurant’s name itself nods to history—Mott Street in New York, the site of the first Chinese grocery store in the United States. That spirit of bringing authentic Cantonese and Chinese cuisine to a new audience is alive in every dish. The menu is built on exceptional ingredients: the freshest seafood, handmade dim sum, the finest Kobe and Wagyu beef, and the dish that put the brand on the map—a 42-day apple wood roasted Peking duck, long regarded as the best in Hong Kong. Other signature offerings visible on the menu include the Signature Iberico Pluma Char Siu, the Soft Quail Egg, Iberico Pork, and Black Truffle Dumpling, and the triple-cooked Wagyu beef short rib.
The experience is as much about atmosphere as it is about food. The interior, described by the restaurant as an award-winning design, blends New York industrial style with traditional Chinese culture. It creates a backdrop that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted, a fitting space for the restaurant’s ambitious cocktail program. The drinks menu, which earned Mott 32 a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence in 2019, features signature cocktails inspired by Asian ingredients like osmanthus honey, ginseng, goji berries, and shiso leaves, alongside an extensive selection of fine wines from around the globe.
Mott 32 in Las Vegas is not just another outpost—it is a continuation of a culinary vision. The collaborative effort of founders Xuan Mu and Malcolm Wood, alongside Group Executive Chef Lee Man Sing, brings over 75 years of combined experience in luxury dining to the table. Their approach is straightforward: simple dishes, honest ingredients, and traditional techniques, elevated by a deep understanding of modern tastes.
