The story
Since its opening, Henry's Cuisine has earned a place in the Michelin Guide (2026 Recommended) and been named among the "101 Best LA Restaurants" for four consecutive years. The restaurant delivers on its promise to be anything but ordinary.
Henry’s Cuisine was founded by two individuals—Henry Tu and Henry Chau. Their shared mission: to create a modern restaurant that showcases rich culinary flavors from around the world. Inspired by the diverse community of Los Angeles County, they set out to build a space with serene ambience, exquisite flavors, and prices that remain accessible.
The kitchen’s philosophy is captured in the Chinese name "廚藝" (culinary art), and it shows in the approach. The menu draws from a wide range of culinary traditions, but the heart of the cooking is rooted in Cantonese and Chinese cuisine. Guests can find classic Cantonese dishes alongside fiery Sichuan flavors and even Southeast Asian accents. The founders, both experienced restaurateurs, personally oversee quality and insist on premium ingredients, believing that the finest raw materials are the foundation of every dish.
Rather than chasing luxury ingredients like shark fin or bird’s nest, Henry’s Cuisine focuses on value. The restaurant maintains the standards of fine dining—thoughtful presentation, attentive service, and a calm, comfortable atmosphere—while keeping prices approachable. The result is a place where diners can enjoy a high-quality meal without the usual high price tag.
The team’s commitment to excellence is evident in the steady stream of accolades. The Michelin Guide recommendation and years of "101 Best LA Restaurants" recognition are a direct reflection of the care taken in the kitchen and the dining room. It’s a restaurant that earns its reputation through consistency and genuine hospitality.
