The story
Quarter Sheets is a pizza parlor in Echo Park, Los Angeles, from chef-owners Aaron Lindell and Hannah Ziskin. Since opening in January 2022, it has become one of the city’s most talked-about destinations for pizza. The restaurant earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026, recognition for good quality, good value cooking that fits naturally with its approachable, full-service dining.
The restaurant itself is straightforward and welcoming. There is counter dining, a private room, air conditioning, and space for walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are available for parties of one to six and open 14 days in advance. Quarter Sheets also offers takeaway, online pickup, and delivery, so the pizza travels well, too.
The team behind Quarter Sheets has drawn national attention. The restaurant has been named to the LA Times 101 Best Restaurants list from 2022 through 2025, Bon Appétit’s 50 best new restaurants in 2022, and The New York Times’ America’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2023. Ziskin was also a James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker in 2026, and the restaurant consistently appears on best-of lists from The Infatuation and The New York Times.
The space is located at 1305 Portia Street and operates from 5pm to 9pm, Tuesday through Sunday. Metered street parking is available in the neighborhood. For those who want to celebrate something special, Quarter Sheets offers full restaurant buyouts, accommodating up to 33 guests.
