The story
In Brooklyn, chef/owner Tomer Blechman has opened Theodora, a progression of his celebrated Mediterranean restaurant Miss Ada and its sister concept Nili in Carroll Gardens. The restaurant deepens the Mediterranean flavors he is known for, with a sharper focus on seasonal produce and dry-aged fish cooked over an open fire.
The kitchen is built around that open fire, where ingredients are transformed with a directness that lets the quality of the produce and fish speak for itself. A thoughtful natural wine program runs alongside the menu, which changes regularly to reflect what is best at the moment.
Located on Greene Avenue in Brooklyn, Theodora has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, recognition that aligns with the precision and care evident in chef Blechman's cooking. The space itself offers counter dining and accommodates everything from intimate dinners to larger private parties.
Walk-ins are welcome at the bar, and the restaurant opens daily from 5:00 to 10:00 PM. For those planning ahead, reservations are available via Resy, and the team also handles corkage—up to two bottles per party, with a $50 fee per bottle.
