The story
In the heart of Orlando’s Baldwin Park neighborhood, Camille has quickly become a destination for those seeking refined, boundary-pushing Vietnamese-French cuisine. What began as a humble pop-up tasting menu inside East End Market in the fall of 2021 has evolved into a celebrated brick-and-mortar restaurant, earning a Michelin Star in spring 2024.
Chef and partner Tung Phan launched Camille as a two-person operation, serving distinctive Vietnamese-French flavors to just two seatings a night, four nights a week, in a small shared space known as The Neighbors. The intimate pop-up captured the attention of Orlando locals and food enthusiasts, creating a buzz that led to plans for a permanent location. After months of delays, Camille opened its doors in Baldwin Park in June 2023.
In less than a year, the team—an intimate and dedicated group of nine—achieved one of the highest honors in the culinary world: a Michelin Star. The recognition speaks to the precision and creativity of Chef Tung’s vision. The restaurant’s counter dining setup allows guests to watch the kitchen at work, adding a layer of immediacy to the experience.
As Camille celebrated its two-year anniversary in June 2025, the team remains focused on the future—committed to pushing the boundaries of Vietnamese cuisine through progressive, modern interpretations that honor tradition while embracing innovation. Chef Tung and his team, including Chef de Cuisine Mike Vang and Pastry Chef Fox Britten, are dedicated to taking Vietnamese food to inspiring new heights.
The restaurant’s atmosphere reflects its philosophy: warm, understated, and entirely focused on the food. With a Michelin Star already in hand, Camille continues to evolve, offering a dining experience that feels both deeply rooted and refreshingly new.
