The story
In Orlando’s Audubon Park neighborhood, Coro is a chef-driven restaurant where the menu changes weekly and the kitchen stays open. Chef Tim Lovero, who spent over sixteen years shaping the Winter Park dining scene at Luma on Park, Prato, and Luke’s Kitchen & Bar, opened Coro with his wife Natalie in 2024. The name means “chorus” in Spanish and Italian, reflecting the restaurant’s philosophy: every element—flavors, team, guests—working together in harmony.
The contemporary cuisine is creative yet approachable. Lovero’s team sources high-quality produce, meat, and seafood from Florida partners like Frogsong, Sugar Top, and Kelly Seafood, and they aim to use as much of each ingredient as possible. The result is an ever-evolving menu of small plates designed for sharing. Guests order two to three dishes per person from an a la carte menu, and the open kitchen lets you watch the chefs work. Meals arrive one or two dishes at a time, often delivered by the cook who prepared them, making the experience personal and direct.
This commitment to bold, ingredient-driven cooking earned Coro a Bib Gourmand from the Michelin Guide in 2025, a recognition of both exceptional quality and good value. It’s a fitting accolade for a restaurant that balances creativity with a neighborhood warmth. The space itself encourages connection—there’s outdoor seating, and the collaborative service model means the whole team looks after you. Whether you’re sharing raw cobia with coconut-cashew milk or a warm dish of red snapper with shrimp broth, the focus is on letting each dish speak for itself.
