The story
Swine & Sons began in 2015 as a provisions market and craft butcher in Orlando. Over time, it transformed into a full-service restaurant beloved by locals and recognized by the Michelin Guide. Owner and chef Alexia Gawlak, a Chicago native, brings more than two decades of Orlando culinary experience to the kitchen. After training at the Culinary Institute of America and cooking at NYC’s Nobu, Winter Park’s Luma on Park, and The Ravenous Pig, she opened Swine & Sons with a clear vision: Southern-inspired takes on simple, classic dishes.
The restaurant’s focus on technique and flavor earned it a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2022 and 2023, and it remains a Michelin Recommended spot in 2026. In 2020, Gawlak won an episode of Guys’ Grocery Games with her Hot Chicken sandwich, putting the restaurant on a national stage. Today, Swine & Sons continues to draw crowds at its Milkhouse location on North Bumby Avenue, with new outposts coming to the Altamonte Mall and Orlando International Airport in 2026.
The menu is built around scratch-made burgers, sandwiches, salads, sides, and bar snacks — all served for lunch and dinner seven days a week. The kitchen uses tried-and-true culinary techniques to build complex flavors from straightforward ingredients, elevating comfort food without pretension. The result is what the team calls “Dang Delicious” food, rooted in American cuisine with a Southern accent.
The restaurant also offers a catering program, bringing its burgers and sammies to private events and homes across Orlando. Whether dining in the welcoming, air-conditioned space or ordering takeaway, guests are met with warm hospitality. Swine & Sons believes that food brings people together, and that simple philosophy — paired with Michelin-caliber execution — makes it a standout in Orlando’s dining scene.
