Since 2011, Table & Main has been the adopted clubhouse of Roswell’s Historic District. Housed in a beautifully restored century-old homestead on Canton Street, this Southern tavern serves what it calls “simple, seasonal, and Southern” cuisine—a philosophy that earned it a Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking.

Executive Chef Woolery “Woody” Back has led the kitchen since 2013, turning out updated Southern favorites that have made the restaurant a neighborhood institution. The fried chicken—an all-natural Springer Mountain Farms half bird, Southern-fried and served with a choice of side—is a standout. The Atlanta Journal Constitution calls it the best in Roswell, and the praise is echoed in every bite of the crisp, juicy meat.

What to Expect

The menu changes with the seasons, but staples like Shrimp ‘n Grits with Gulf shrimp and Creole brown gravy, the Stone Mountain beef Burger with pimento cheese and bacon jam, and the sorghum-chipotle glazed Meatloaf keep regulars coming back. T&M Mondays offer a three-course, $35 prix fixe of favorite dishes, and Prime Rib Wednesdays feature locally sourced Châtel Farms beef.

The setting is as warm as the food. A wraparound porch and garden patio—often called the most beautiful in Atlanta—invite lingering over a glass of wine from a New World-focused list. Inside, the historic bones of the house create a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that the Michelin Guide describes as “more than just a restaurant… a neighborhood institution.”
