The story
Allora is the vision of husband-and-wife team Chef Deneb Williams and Beverage Director Elizabeth-Rose Mandalou. After years in the industry—Deneb at the Firehouse Restaurant and Elizabeth-Rose as a Certified Sommelier—they opened this modern Italian spot on Folsom Boulevard in East Sacramento. Their shared commitment to hospitality and locally sourced ingredients defines every aspect of the experience.
The kitchen, led by Executive Chef Deneb Williams and Chef de Cuisine Mattia Melchionna, turns out a menu that changes with the seasons. Allora’s dinner is offered as a three-, four-, or five-course prix fixe, with an amuse-bouche and intermezzo included. Pastry Chef Chrissy Sievert, whose resume includes Michelin-starred Localis and Silverado Resort, creates desserts that balance technical skill and restraint. The result is Italian cooking that feels precise, personal, and deeply connected to California’s bounty.
Beverage Director and partner Elizabeth-Rose Mandalou, an Italian Wine Scholar, built a list that emphasizes Italian wines and spirits. Her work earned Allora a Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence, a mark of one of the world’s most respected wine lists. The bar, led by Brett Walker, also turns out craft cocktails that reflect the same seasonal ethos.
The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining on a garden patio. The interior is clean and contemporary, while the patio provides a relaxed, green escape. Wheelchair accessible, with a private room available, Allora is a place for celebrations or quiet dinners alike.
With a team that includes a dedicated sommelier and a 23% service fee that goes directly to staff, Allora sets a new standard for fine dining in Sacramento.
