The story
Manohar’s Delhi Palace has been a fixture in South San Jose Hills since 1990, earning a Michelin Recommended designation for its commitment to authentic Northern Indian cuisine. The restaurant proudly follows Punjabi and Mughal traditions, preparing dishes that let the natural flavors of fresh herbs and spices shine.
The kitchen uses fresh vegetables and ingredients, blending sauces with the finest root herbs and spices. All food is cooked in cholesterol-free corn oil, and no MSG is used. Dishes are generally made mild to allow the taste of freshly ground masalas to come through, a philosophy that sets Manohar’s apart. The menu is ambitious, featuring classic Indian dishes from tandoori specialties to rich curries.
The menu is a deep dive into Northern Indian cuisine. Standouts from the tandoor include the Mixed Grill (a combination of Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, sheesh kabab, and lamb boti kabab) and the Special Mixed Grill with fish and shrimp. Vegetable lovers will find a wide array, from Palak Paneer (fresh spinach with homemade cheese) to Shahi Paneer (paneer in a thick, creamy tomato gravy). The Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala are also house favorites.
Manohar’s Delhi Palace’s dedication to authentic Indian cooking has been recognized with a Michelin Recommended award, placing it among the top Indian restaurants in the region. It remains a beloved spot for family meals and catered events, open seven days a week with a Sunday champagne brunch.
