The story
Madame Lân stands on Bach Dang Street, its tables set along the Han River in the heart of Da Nang. The restaurant opened in 2012, born from a simple story: a mother named Lân who raised her six children with vegetables from her garden, fresh fish, and shrimp in a bamboo basket lined with green leaves. Those meals, full of laughter and warmth, became the inspiration for a place that aims to share the depth of Vietnamese home cooking.
The space itself reflects that spirit. With an architecture that blends old and new, and an openness to the outdoors, the restaurant feels both intimate and connected to nature. The outdoor seating and available parking make it easy to settle in for a long meal.
The guiding idea at Madame Lân is “Trọn Vẹn” – completeness or wholeness. It appears in three aspects: the food, the people, and the setting. In the kitchen, the team respects traditional principles while allowing for creative interpretation. The menu draws from all regions of Vietnam, offering hundreds of dishes that range from northern classics to southern specialties, all prepared with fresh ingredients. In the dining room, the staff’s attentive care is meant to create a warm, positive energy. And the space itself – airy, green, and quietly elegant – encourages guests to linger and connect.
Madame Lân’s commitment to genuine Vietnamese cuisine has earned it the Michelin Recommended distinction for two consecutive years (2024 and 2025, with a 2026 award noted). It has also received TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice award and was named among the top 80 restaurants in Vietnam by the TOP80 Asia Award. These recognitions reflect the team’s effort to present Vietnamese food not as a performance, but as a natural, heartfelt expression of culture.
Whether you come for a morning bowl of noodles or an evening spread shared among friends, Madame Lân offers a meal that feels both grounded and memorable – exactly as its namesake intended.
