The story
When founder Dani Himi set out to create El Gaucho, his goal was straightforward: “I want El Gaucho to be the restaurant for those looking for a great dinner — from the moment they walk in until they leave.” That vision has taken shape across 33 venues in four countries, and the Hoan Kiem outpost in Hanoi is a clear expression of his ambition to “establish the benchmark in Southeast Asia for a contemporary, specialized steakhouse concept.”
The kitchen works with premium, globally sourced ingredients, pairing steakhouse classics with a modern approach. The result is an experience built around the finest beef cuts — from Wagyu to bone-in options — as well as lamb, sausages, and an international wine selection. Nothing is left to chance: the same sourcing philosophy extends to the El Butcher Shop, where guests can take those same imported meats home.
El Gaucho’s tone is down-to-earth yet refined, with playful details woven into the design and service. It is a place for a serious steak without the stiffness. The restaurant also offers catering and private event services, making it possible to host everything from an intimate dinner to a stylish celebration with the same exacting standards.
Recognition from the Michelin guide in 2026 only underscores what regulars already know: this is a steakhouse that delivers on its promise, every time.
