The story
On a quiet street in Thao Dien, An's Saigon operates as a house with many rooms, each offering a different way to experience Vietnamese cuisine. The Garden is the first space guests encounter—open and easy-going, serving an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner. The Lounge, or Phòng khách, functions as the living room of the house, presenting a well-balanced combination of Vietnamese culture and culinary experiences built around local ingredients and seasonal features.
The heart of the restaurant, however, is the Chef's Table. Located just steps from the kitchen, it accommodates only eight guests for a single dinner seating. Here, An's Saigon brings the spirit of the mâm cơm—the traditional Vietnamese family food tray—into a progressive tasting menu format. The current Chef's Menu 6.0, titled "Sắc," celebrates the evolution of each dish through color, seasonality, and the creativity of a young generation. Each ingredient is chosen not only for its natural hue but for its deep connection to everyday Vietnamese cooking.
This approach to progressive Vietnamese cuisine has earned the restaurant recognition from the Michelin Guide, which selected An's Saigon in 2023, 2024, and 2025. The team describes the honor as "a gentle tap on the shoulder reminding us to keep pushing boundaries."
The restaurant's own herb garden supplies ingredients for both the à la carte and Chef's Menu dishes, and a small fermentation lab on the premises continues to develop flavors in-house. Whether dining in the Garden, the Lounge, or at the intimate Chef's Table, the experience is grounded in the idea that guests become friends and family.
