The story
Espacio Trapiche is the restaurant of the historic Trapiche winery in Mendoza’s Nueva Mayorga district. Here, the winery’s first winemaker, Sergio Casé, works alongside chefs Sebastián Weigandt and German Sanucci to create a singular dining experience. The setting is integrated with the surrounding nature, inviting guests to breathe deeply, look out to where the view dissolves, and find a moment of connection. The restaurant’s philosophy is summed up in its own words: “un espacio donde el tiempo se detiene” – a space where time stands still. This seamless blend of wine, food, and landscape earned Espacio Trapiche a Michelin Recommended distinction in 2026.
The kitchen operates on a KM 0 philosophy – “a menor impacto, mayor cuidado” (less impact, greater care). Potatoes, tomatoes, olives, and seasonal vegetables are harvested from the restaurant’s own garden, guaranteeing freshness and quality. The contemporary cuisine is presented through a tasting menu that is carefully paired with Trapiche’s most exclusive wines, alongside à la carte options. Each dish is rooted in local ingredients and designed to create sensations that transcend the moment.
The wine list is a treasure chest of rare bottles: new vintages, historic years, and winemaker experiments made from the best grapes of Mendoza and Chapadmalal. Only at Espacio Trapiche can guests taste these exclusive cuvées, selected to marry perfectly with the flavors of the plate. The result is an ideal marriage between the taste of the land and the legacy of one of Argentina’s most celebrated wineries.
