The story
In the heart of Nauders, tucked within the 400-year-old family parlor of the Hotel Central, s'kammerli is the realization of a dream: a tiny, fine gourmet restaurant with just twelve seats. The atmosphere is one of intimate warmth, a space where the team’s passion for hospitality is as clear as their skill in the kitchen.
The kitchen is led by Michi Ploner, Olli Mijic, and Jürgen Mathoy, supported by chef Philipp Stohner. Their philosophy is rooted in surprise and trust. Rather than offering a sprawling menu, they present a single seasonal tasting menu of around fourteen courses, including amuse-bouche and petit fours. It is a reflection of what the chefs themselves love to cook, changing with the seasons and expressing what they call their "spinnereien" – their creative whims.
This approach to modern cuisine has earned s'kammerli significant recognition. In 2026, the restaurant was awarded 1 Star in the Guide MICHELIN and achieved 17.5 points and 4 toques from Gault Millau. The team’s dedication is matched by their guests’ enthusiasm; the summer season sold out entirely within 7.5 hours of reservations opening.
A wine pairing and a non-alcoholic pairing are available to accompany the meal. For those wishing to extend the experience, an overnight package at the adjoining four-star Hotel Central is offered. The dress code is simple: wear your favorite outfit. The only thing required is a willingness to be surprised.
