The story
L'Orangerie de Moulbaix occupies a carefully restored historic building at the heart of the vineyards of the Marquise de Moulbaix, on the grounds of the Château de Moulbaix. Three years of renovation transformed this former orangery into a brasserie-restaurant with a setting that is genuinely unique in Belgium. The estate's quiet elegance and the surrounding vines give the place a calm, unhurried atmosphere.
The kitchen is led by two young chefs who have already earned Michelin stars. Their menu focuses on traditional French cuisine of quality – precise, honest cooking that lets the ingredients speak. The dining room offers a brasserie-style experience, with a carte that changes to reflect the seasons. Whether you come for lunch or dinner, the emphasis is on well-executed classics prepared with care.
The restaurant's consistent quality has been recognised by the Michelin guide, which lists L'Orangerie de Moulbaix as Recommended. This award reflects the chefs' skill and the team's commitment to a refined, welcoming dining experience. It is a place where the setting and the food come together naturally, without pretension.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through Sunday for both lunch and dinner, closed Monday and Tuesday. Air conditioning, outdoor seating, and wheelchair access are available. The property also offers parking and takeaway service.
