The story
For more than twenty years, Le Délice du Jour was a fixture in Gerpinnes. Now, in a splendid house in Chapelle-lez-Herlaimont—once home to one of the province’s only Michelin-starred restaurants—the team has crafted a dining room that feels both grand and welcoming. The move brought a fresh energy, and the Michelin inspectors took note, awarding the restaurant a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. It is a nod to the steady, thoughtful cooking that has made this address a regional reference.
Chef Fabrizzio brings the warmth of Italy and the determination of Calabria to every plate. Over 25 years ago, he transformed a family pizzeria into a gastronomic destination, earning the GaultMillau Young Chef of the Year title along the way. Today, he works with a young, loyal brigade—some have been with him for over a decade. In the dining room, his wife Sanae greets guests with a genuine smile, overseeing a service that is relaxed yet precise, and curating a cellar that grows richer each season.
The menu at Le Délice du Jour is driven by what is fresh and local. The chef sources from nearby market gardeners and butchers, choosing ingredients that balance quality with sustainability. The changing seasons, the hunt, and the day’s catch dictate the composition of each dish. This is modern cuisine that follows nature’s rhythm—always varied, never forced. For those who prefer plant-based options, the kitchen adapts with care, and a Vegetarian option is available upon request. Parking is also available for guests.
