The story
Chef Didier honed his skills in Michelin-starred kitchens, and that precision shows in every dish. The kitchen works exclusively with high-quality ingredients: scallops, hamachi, and a variety of fish and shellfish appear as starters, followed by meat and daily fresh seasonal produce. The menu changes regularly, reflecting what is best at the market.
Diners can choose from several tasting experiences. The "Korte ontmoeting" (Short encounter) is available on weekday lunchtimes at 75 euros. For a deeper dive, the "Intense beleving" (Intense experience) runs 98 euros, and the "Uitgebreide ontdekking" (Extensive discovery) is 135 euros. A daily changing market menu, offered on weekday lunchtimes, presents a three-course option at 55 euros. Each menu can be paired with a selection of wines, including non-alcoholic options.
The food is distinctly modern French seasonal. Dishes might include Red Snapper with tomato structures, kimchi, and Koshihikari rice, or a signature starter of baby lobster with ponzu, asparagus, and grapefruit. The restaurant also produces its own gin, Kagiana, a point of pride.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, with service that aims for genuine satisfaction. The restaurant is open for lunch Tuesday through Saturday, and for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings. For those with dietary needs, the team can adapt for meat, poultry, fish, shellfish, pregnancy, and certain allergies, though they cannot offer a fully vegan or gluten-free menu. It is best to inform them of any restrictions in advance.
