The story
In the quiet village of Perk, just outside Brussels, Greenroom brings a refined yet relaxed approach to modern French cooking. The restaurant’s philosophy blurs the line between starters and mains, letting guests compose their own tasting journey from the à la carte menu. Formulas range from a two-course Light to a four-course Fancy, each available with or without dessert. On Saturday evenings, only the Full (three courses) and Fancy (four courses) are offered, while Sunday evenings are reserved for a fixed classic menu.
Seasonality and technique define the dishes. Recent offerings include carpaccio of coeur de boeuf tomato with pickled vegetables, avocado, and hand-peeled grey shrimp; slow-cooked veal fillet with tuna and pesto of lava’s; and “Paradise Flower” – cauliflower, miso, potato terrine, almond velouté, and romesco. Ravioli with buffalo ricotta and half baby lobster, wild turbot with smoked eel, capers, and samphire, and grilled Black Aberdeen entrecôte with patatas bravas also appear. Desserts such as mascarpone with raspberries and lemon, and cherries marinated in kriek beer, round out the meal.
The wine selection is integral to the experience. Each dish can be paired by the glass or bottle, with the list leaning toward interesting, well-chosen labels – like the Champagne Gosset Grande Reserve Brut “33 Masterchefs”.
The dining room is complemented by a fully smoke-free terrace for warmer months. Parking is available on-site, and private parties can be arranged. The Michelin Recommended distinction underscores the consistency and care that define Greenroom’s kitchen, making it a destination for those seeking modern French cuisine with genuine hospitality.
