The story
Tafel 10 is set in the heart of the mill village of Ruiselede, on the border between West and East Flanders. The restaurant occupies a carefully renovated 19th-century townhouse that once served as a smithy, a butcher’s shop, and a fishmonger. Now it is a stylish gastronomic destination.
The kitchen, led by chef Bert Denoulet alongside Lisa Lambrecht, focuses on a modern cuisine that is both elevated and approachable. The team returns to culinary basics, working with sustainable, regional products that are familiar yet often overlooked. The result is authentic dishes prepared with heart. As the restaurant puts it, they offer "modern cuisine, refined and sophisticated in its simplicity."
Tafel 10’s commitment to quality was acknowledged with a Michelin Recommended award in 2026, confirming its place among Belgium’s noteworthy tables.
A glimpse of their seasonal offering is seen in a discovery lunch menu. Dishes include Charolais beef with ponzu and radish, red mullet with kohlrabi, bisque, and potato mousseline, guinea fowl with green asparagus and truffle, and a dessert of cherry, vanilla ice cream, and white chocolate. The lunch menu is priced at 53 euros per person.
The interior blends authenticity and style, while a tranquil garden terrace offers outdoor seating during warm weather, away from city noise. It is a place for convivial dining and enjoying honest regional produce in a peaceful rural setting.
