The story
Since opening its doors in June 2016, Wilford T has brought a fresh culinary perspective to the Waasland region. Chef Tom Vermeiren, who sharpened his skills at Clandestino and Likoké, runs this gastronomic restaurant with a clear philosophy: to create a journey of discovery through modern French cuisine. The restaurant earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a testament to the quality and consistency of the experience.
Dining here is presented as an exploration. The kitchen turns out dishes that are described as young and refreshing, with a focus on surprising the guest from the moment they walk in until they leave. The menu options range from a four-course "Merci" menu to a five-course "Marktmenu" and an à la carte selection. Offerings include a signature Norwegian lobster open ravioli with vanilla, turbot with Vin Jaune and Imperial Heritage caviar, and a dessert of dark chocolate, coffee, and caramel. A special "Pomme Moscovite" with 30 grams of Imperial Heritage caviar is also available.
What sets Wilford T apart is its connection to the arts. The restaurant is paired with the Wilford X art platform, bringing the concept of "dining among art" to life. This partnership organizes artistic activities that are independent and quality-driven, creating a setting where the appreciation of food and visual art happen in parallel.
The restaurant is located on the Wilfordkaai in Temse and offers outdoor seating, a terrace, and is fully wheelchair accessible. The atmosphere is one where the team’s goal is simple: to make sure guests are smiling when they leave.
