The story
At La Croustade in Heusy, chef Thierry and his team offer a refined interpretation of classic cuisine that has earned a Michelin Recommended distinction for 2026. The restaurant’s approach is rooted in seasonal ingredients and precise technique, served in a setting that balances comfort with understated elegance.
The dining room opens onto a bright veranda and, in warmer months, a terrace—both of which extend the welcoming atmosphere. The menu changes regularly, with a focus on what is fresh and at its peak. A recent Privilège menu began with mises en bouche inspired by the kitchen’s daily creativity, followed by a carpaccio of veal roast with an oregano emulsion and crunchy vegetable salad. A second course offered either a half baby lobster with basil butter and cabbage, or a Coucou de Malines in a fragrant Thai broth with lemongrass and ginger. Main courses included beef aiguillettes in a red wine and shallot reduction, or the day’s catch. Dessert featured roasted apricot with thyme, almond milk ice cream, and redcurrant mousse.
For Thursday evenings, the kitchen prepares a Surprise menu—a multi-course progression built around aperitifs, two starters, a main, and dessert, all paired with a selection of wines or non-alcoholic drinks. The team is also happy to accommodate vegetarian alternatives and allergies when mentioned at booking.
La Croustade’s recognition by Michelin reflects a kitchen that respects tradition while letting the quality of its ingredients lead. It is a place for a quiet lunch or a celebratory dinner, where the food speaks clearly and the setting invites you to stay.
