The story
“De Segunda” is more than a name – it’s a state of mind. The restaurant’s founders describe it as irreverence, democracy, lightness, hospitality, joy, creativity, and freedom. That philosophy flows through every detail, from the open, welcoming space to the ever-changing menu built on fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Júlia Tricate and Gabriel Coelho are the owners and chefs, the “mãe e pai” of De Segunda. Together, they champion a Brazilian cuisine without rules or labels. Their cooking centers on the idea of “comida para compartir” – food meant to be shared. Dishes revisit classic and family recipes, but always through the duo’s own lens, reflecting their background and point of view. The result is a menu that is creative, flexible, and constantly evolving, driven by what’s fresh and available.
De Segunda earned a Michelin Recommended distinction, a nod to its consistent quality and original approach to Brazilian cuisine. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with air conditioning for comfort. It also hosts a fully equipped event space, ideal for private lunches, dinners, classes, and talks. Whether you come for a relaxed dinner or a special celebration, the mood here is warm, unhurried, and genuinely hospitable.
Located in the Itaim Bibi neighborhood of São Paulo, De Segunda is open for lunch and dinner from Wednesday through Saturday, with a Sunday lunch service. The kitchen closes on Tuesdays.
