The story
Petí Gastronomia brings a refined yet approachable vision of modern cuisine to São Paulo’s Vila Madalena neighborhood. Located on Rua Cotoxó, the restaurant offers a calm, air-conditioned space for lunch and dinner, with wheelchair access and nearby parking. The atmosphere is understated—designed to let the cooking speak.
Behind the stove is chef Victor Dimitrow, whose path to the kitchen began early. Supported by a family that valued travel and fine dining, he studied at Anhembi Morumbi in São Paulo before heading to France. At the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, he deepened his technique, then worked at Le Chateaubriand in Paris—then ranked among the world’s best restaurants. His journey continued in Dublin, where he gained experience at the two-Michelin-starred Patrick Guilbaud and at Camden Kitchen, a respected contemporary Franco-Irish spot.
In 2016, Dimitrow was named Chef Revelação (Revelation Chef) by VEJA COMER & BEBER, marking him as one of Brazil’s most promising talents. That same restless curiosity now drives the menu at Petí Gastronomia.
Petí Gastronomia holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, awarded for good quality, good value cooking. The guide’s inspectors recognize the restaurant for delivering thoughtful modern cuisine without the formalities or high prices of a starred establishment. It’s a fitting accolade for a chef who balances classical training with a genuine warmth on the plate.
The menu changes regularly, reflecting seasonal ingredients and Dimitrow’s evolving ideas. While no specific dishes are listed, the cooking leans toward precise, ingredient-driven plates that draw on both Brazilian and European influences. The result is modern cuisine that feels personal—clean, confident, and never overwrought. Lunch service runs Tuesday through Friday, with extended hours on weekends and holidays. Petí Gastronomia closes on the last Sunday of each month.
