The restaurant’s name is literal: the view, stretching across the city’s skyline, is central to the meal. But the kitchen, led by chef Marcelo Corrêa Bastos, ensures the food commands equal attention.
The menu at this MICHELIN Recommended restaurant is a celebration of contemporary Brazilian cuisine. Dishes are described as “autorais” — original creations that draw from all five regions of Brazil, using technique and precision to elevate familiar ingredients. The result is a menu that feels both rooted and inventive: a Galinhada with creamy rice and grilled chicken thigh, a Feijoada do Chef served on Saturdays with live chorinho music, or a weekly-changing executive lunch that might feature a Cupim Ragu Lasagna or an Arroz de Bacalhau.
Desserts continue the theme. A Torta de Mandioca pairs manioc and coconut with pineapple syrup and vanilla ice cream. The Romeu e Julieta reimagines the classic Brazilian pairing of guava and cheese as a roll cake with cream cheese and yogurt ice cream. A vegan option, Milho com Carambola, plays with textures of corn and star fruit jam with fennel.
The setting matches the ambition. The dining room opens onto the museum’s rooftop, with floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the park and skyline. There is live music on certain evenings, and the atmosphere is polished but unhurried — fine dining without stiffness. The Vista Balcão, a bar area, offers a more casual way to experience the kitchen’s cocktails and smaller plates.
Vista Ibirapuera has been a MICHELIN Recommended restaurant since 2024, a recognition that aligns with its broader reputation. It has also been named best Brazilian restaurant by Veja Comer & Beber and received Travellers’ Choice Awards from TripAdvisor. But the restaurant’s own description says it best: a place where high gastronomy meets architecture, culture, and hospitality in one of São Paulo’s most emblematic locations.
