The story
Rasa is a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in Toronto’s Harbord Village. The space strikes a balance between cozy and industrial chic, with a wrap‑around patio that makes it easy to linger any time of year. It’s a sibling to the Michelin‑recommended SARA, and both are brought to you by The Food Dudes.
Executive chef Lia Silva and head chef Callum Smith lead the kitchen. They describe the contemporary menu as “a journey across global flavours, presented as hearty, unfussy sharing plates.” The six‑course tasting menu starts with a Chopped Salad and Spicy Ceviche, then moves through a Chickpea Fritter, Country Style Ribs, and Truffle Gnudi with walnut pesto. It closes with the Rasa Burger – a cult classic that earns its spot on the tasting lineup by sheer flavour.
Beyond the tasting menu, the sea bream ceviche with chili oil stands out as an inventive highlight. The entire approach is built on bold tastes, welcoming service, and exceptional value – the very qualities that caught the Bib Gourmand’s eye.
Rasa is cashless, and from Sunday to Thursday they run a happy hour with discounted wines. The bar stocks a deep spirit selection, from vodkas and gins to tequilas, mezcals, and after‑dinner amari. Whether you come for a full tasting or a glass of wine on the patio, the restaurant feels like a natural go‑to – no fuss, just solid contemporary cooking in a room that invites you to stay.
