The story
On Vancouver’s Main Street, Anh and Chi brings Vietnamese cooking to a bright, welcoming space that has earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for its quality and value. The restaurant operates with a distinctive philosophy: community is built together.
The restaurant’s “Reservation by Donation” program, introduced in December 2020, is the first of its kind in Vancouver. Guests can skip the line by donating $10 per person to a rotating selection of local charities. To date, patrons have raised over $500,000 for causes including food security, housing, mental health, and support for at-risk populations. The restaurant covers all administrative costs, so every dollar goes directly to the chosen charity. Walk-ins are always welcome for the majority of seating.
Anh and Chi’s menu reflects the depth of Vietnamese cuisine, with dishes that balance fresh herbs, bold spices, and clean flavours. The restaurant also offers a shop featuring Mẹ’s Artisan Sauces, gift cards, and totes, extending the kitchen’s reach into the home kitchen.
Open daily from 11 AM until late, Anh and Chi is a fixture on Main Street—a place where good food and good purpose meet.
